=============================== Buddy Marchand LONGVIEW — Services for Buddy Marchand, 68, of Longview, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011, at Oakland Heights Baptist Church, 1607 Judson Road, with the Rev. Kevin Bright officiating. Interment will follow in Judson Cemetery. Mr. Marchand passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2011, in Longview. Floyd E. Marchand, "Buddy," was born April 22, 1943, in Longview, to Robert J. and Bonnie Faye Sparks Marchand. He was a paint contractor for many years and also a property manager for Texas Office Leasing. Mr. Marchand was an ordained deacon, serving as chairman at First Baptist Church in Longview, where he also taught Sunday school. He was most recently a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church, where he also taught Sunday school. He volunteered for many years at Heart'sWay Hospice, the Gregg County Historical Museum and the Community Health Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Beverly Whitehurst Marchand of Longview; children, Michael Marchand and wife, Leslie, of Cypress, Texas, and Wendy Trammell and husband, Mike, of Arlington Texas; grandchildren, Abby Trammell, Olivia Marchand, Christian Marchand, Thomas Cromwell and Marisa Cromwell; brothers, James Marchand of Longview, Greg Marchand of Longview and Robert J. Marchand Jr. and wife, Kim, of Carrollton, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. today, November 18, 2011, at Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Road.
