MORRIS - A visual service will be held at 8 p.m. tonight at Levander Funeral Home in Albion for Charles Fred Morris, 47, who died Tuesday in the Boone County Hospital following a lingering illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Albion with Rev. Henry Schorn Officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation is now in progress until 9 p.m. this evening at the funeral home. Mr. Morris was born January 23, 1931 at Randolph to Lee and Gesina (Dryeling) Morris. He attended Boone Rural school and Albion City schools. He married Helen Zabka on June 7, 1954 at Albion and has lived all his life in Albion where he was self-employed as a roofing construcion worker. A member of the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 he served in the Korean Conflict, receiving the Korean Service Medal and the Bronze Service Star. He was a member of the Albion VFW; American Legion; and St. Michaels Church.
