Bio
Lucille Rose Brick, of Las Vegas, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at home after a long fight against cancer. Born in Forman, N.D., March 10, 1931, to Emil and Blanche Fiala, Lu spent a lifetime pursuing her passion for creative cooking in the restaurant business. She owned Lu's Pizza in Aberdeen, S.D., and had restaurants in Las Vegas. Most recently, Lu was the exclusive caterer to Sunset Gardens Wedding Plaza. The business will be succeeded by her daughter, Sheri Griess. Lucille was married to the late Ron Brick. She is survived by her former husband, Ray Griess; their seven children, Gary, Doug, Loretta, Mike, Scott, Mark and Sheri; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Dustin, Matt, Kady, Josh, Alexandra, Isabella, Genevieve and Alexandria; and brothers, Harvey, Charles and Fritz Fiala. Viewing will be from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, with the funeral services following, both at Davis Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
