Upchurch 24 TN 1845-1846 m District 7 #36. 1880 Fentress Co, TN census Dave (Drury) Upchurch 35 TN 1844-1845 m District 7 #238. 1900 Fentress Co, TN census Jane Upchurch 53 TN 1846 July f widow District 7 #33. Footprints said D. G. Upchurch was husband of Vestina and father of W. P. Upchurch. Bruce York has his wives as Martanna Elizabeth Williams and Jane Dishman. 1910 Pickett Co, TN census Jane Upchurch 64 TN/TN/TN b. 1845-1846; widow with 5 of 6 children living; District 8 ED 77 Sheet 7A line 15 #27/27; 28 Apr 1910. ∼ "Father of W P Upchurch" No dates on stone Per Robin Upchurch: Looking at Bruce York's work and a few photos of this stone, I have concluded that this is Drury Granville Upchurch. (D.G.) S/O Joseph and Sarah Crouch Upchurch. Drury being born about 1846. He married twice, first was to Martanna or Martaney Williams (Daughter to Hardin and Jane Dishman/yes, Jane Dishmon was the same name as his own second wife). William Pearson or W.P. Upchurch, was a son of Martanna and Drury. There is another Stone very close to D.G. Upchurch which states 'Vestina Upchurch Mother of W.P. Upchurch'. [I am suggesting that there are not two women with sons named W.P. Upchurch in Fentress county. I am also suggesting that Vestina is a pet name for Martaney or Martanna, the mother of W.P. Upchurch and wife of Drury Upchurch.]
