Rachael Ann Johnston is the daughter of Henderson Reeve Johnston and Luranna Teague Johnston (burial places unknown as of 4-2014). She married George Wesley Watts in Talladega County, AL, 25 Oct 1857. Rachael was the mother of Luella, Mary Alice, Leander, Henderson Edwin, Oscar, William Thomas, and Sarah, born in 1879. Rachael died in 1880 of consumption, attended by the same doctor who attended her 7 month old daughter, Sarah, at her death, both in 1880. Baby Sarah is perhaps one of the Watts graves moved from Keeling to Forrest. (Widower George married Polly Taylor in 1883 in Etowah, before moving to Texas with her. Both George and Polly are buried in Frost Cemetery, Frost, TX.) A marker has been placed by Forrest Cemetery in Section # 16 for Rachael Watts. It is in the area where markers are inscribed "unknown" or perhaps just a name and no dates. (Section 16 markers tend to get dirty with all the dirt/mud in that area. This marker was brushed but still not a good photo.) According to county documents, Rachael was first buried in Keeling Cemetery in Etowah County, then moved, along with other graves, to Forrest, Section 16.
