Bio
Anna Jo Dougherty, 70, long time Eva community resident died Thursday evening, Feb. 20, 1992 in the Morton County Hospital in Elkhart, Kan. The daughter of John and Oma Hagelburg, she was born May 5 1921 at Seminole, Okla. Mrs. Dougherty was reared in the seminole area and came to Cimarron County during the wheat harvest of 1940 where she met her husband, Carl Dougherty. Mr. and Mrs. Dougherty were married June 15, 1940 in Boise City. She was an active member of the Church of Christ of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, three brothers and a grandson. Survivors include her husband, Carl Dougherty of the home; one daughter, Becky Ellis of Elkhart, three sons, Johnny Dougherty of the Eva community, Joe Dougherty of Elkhart and Bill Dougherty of Edmond, Okla; eight grandchildren; and one great granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p,m. at the Church of Christ in Elkhart with Neil Clark, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Willowbar Cemetery in Keyes under the direction of the Henson Funeral Home of Guymon. Published in the Guymon Daily Herald, Thurs., March 12, 1992.
