From the Brazosport Facts Clute, Texas 30 May 2003 JOHN GLYNN "JACK" FROST John Glynn "Jack" Frost, 75, of Brazoria, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2003, after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Aline Frost; his daughter, Kathy Brandt and her husband, Ace; granddaughter, Melanie Adame and her husband, Adam, granddaughter, Lauren Brandt; great-grandson, Eric Adame; brother, Hershel J. Frost of St. Louise, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, R. C. Frost and Catherine Shiver, as well as one brother and four sisters. Glynn moved from Pensacola, FL to Houston in 1948. Soon after, he moved to Brazoria County and began a career with Dow Chemical, from which he retired after 31 years of service. In 1954, he traveled back to Florida to marry Aline Smith, or Lena as he always called her. Glynn and Aline have lived in Brazoria since 1958. Glynn was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He cherished time with his family and his family treasured time spent with him. Whenever asked what he wanted for gifts, he always said, "I just want everyone to be together." Glynn had stories and jokes for all occasions and everyone was delighted to hear them. He was a wonderful, caring and generous man who always tried to help those less fortunate or in need. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service for Glynn will be held at the Lakewood Chapel in Lake Jackson on Saturday, May 31, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Frost asks that donations be made to Hospice Care Team, Inc., 107 West Way, Ste. 29, Lake Jackson, TX 77566. They have an amazing staff whose expertise helped ease the pain of Glynn's final days and helped comfort the family in their time of sorrow. Arrangements by Lake-wood Funeral Chapel.
