Bio

Dale M. Angle, 77, was born on February 25, 1911 in Lawrence County, Illinois and passed away on September 20, 1988 in the United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was the son of Grover Cleveland and Ethel Maude (Longnecker) Angle. He married Veva Marie Baker on September 30, 1936 and she survived him. He had been employed by the Marathon Oil Company. He was a member of the Landes United Methodist Church and a member of the Chauncey Ruritan Club. In addition to his wife, he was survived by four sons, Harold Angle, Chauncey, Illinois, Dick Angle, Olney, Illinois, Gerald Angle, Oblong, Illinois and Donald Angle serving in Germany; two bothers, Kelso Angle, Lincoln, Nebraska and Veris Angle, Marshall, Illinois; two sisters, Wanda Hobbs and Imogene Cotterell, both of Sumner, Illinois; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a sister. Funeral services for Dale were held in the Sivert-Macey Funeral Home in Sumner, Illinois followed by Interment in the Waggoner Cemetery.
