Bio

Rodney Dean Key was born in Burwell, Neb., on Aug. 10, 1926. He passed away at the age of 85 on July 22, 2012, at Marshall Hospital. Rodney grew up in Nebraska, where he was a farmer and then joined the U.S. Army. He moved to the Bay Area and became the best car salesman due to his gift of gab. He then met his beloved Inez Nored, who became his wife in September 1971. Rodney moved to Placerville in 2004 with his family and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Placerville Ward. He became an Ombudsman for the El Dorado County seniors. He was an amazing man who always had a big smile on his face and gave the best hugs. There will be a memorial service on July 26, at 1 p.m., at the Placerville Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3275 Cedar Ravine in Placerville. Rodney will always be in our hearts. He's loved and missed by his family, many friends and his hot girlfriend.
