Iola Heifner, age 97 of Lucas, Texas, passed away July 10, 2014 in Allen, Texas. She was born March 3, 1917 in Collin County, Texas to Walter A. and Ella Jane (Thomas) Rolf. Iola was a loving and devoted wife and mother who spent her whole life farming in Lucas. She was the last survivor of the original settlers of the WinningKoff Community. Iola was a member of First United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas. She is survived by **living omitted** Iola was preceded in death by her husband, James Maurell Heifner, parents, and brother. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
