Bio

Anna Bullock, 94, of Monroe, Nebraska, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at Morys Haven Nursing Home in Columbus, Nebraska. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 26 at 11:00 AM at the Monroe Methodist Church with Rev. Murry Jay Johnston officiating. Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Thursday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Thursday at 10:45 PM at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Monroe Methodist Church or the Monroe Rescue Unit. Anna H. Bullock was born March 23, 1918, in rural Platte County, Nebraska, to Alex and Susie (Thayer) Laudenklos. She attended Monroe Public School and on May 4, 1940, married Melvin Bullock in Columbus, Nebraska. The couple made their home in St. Edward, Nebraska, where the couple ran a café. Anna also worked at the US Post Office and the bank in St. Edward. In 1977, the couple moved to Monroe, Nebraska. Anna worked at Dale Electronics in Columbus from 1977 until her retirement in 1983. Anna enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking, roses, traveling, and socializing with friends. Anna is survived by: Sister-in-law – Jean Laudenklos of Monroe, NE Niece – Elisabeth (Felix) Ojigbani of Monroe, NE Niece – Ronda (Glen) Carstenson of Monroe, NE Niece – Linda (Harold) Reese of Monroe, NE Nephew – Kevin (Sherri) Laudenklos of Monroe, NE Nephew – Gayle (Karen) Gerber of Monroe, NE Anna was preceded in death by: Husband - Melvin Bullock Parents – Alex and Susie Laudenklos Brothers – Kenneth, Alex, Edward, and Daniel Laudenklos Sister – Katherine Gerber
