Son of Kenneth & Janice (Butts) Roggasch. Married to Markee Satchell on 6-26-2002 in Jamaica. ------------------------------------------------ The Burwell Tribune Burwell, Nebraska September 8, 2004 Jeffrey Lynn Roggasch, 42, of Bullhead City, Arizona, formerly of Burwell, Nebraska, died August 28, 2004 at Phoenix, Arizona. Jeff was cremated. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2004 at the United Methodist Church in Burwell. Rev. Joel Rathbun and Alan Petersen officiated. Memorials are suggested to the family. Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell is in charge of arrangements. Jeff was born December 12, 1961 to Kenneth and Janice (Butts) Roggasch at Burwell, Nebraska. Jeff began his education with six years in Midwest City, Oklahoma public schools. He and his mother then moved back to Burwell where he graduated in 1980 from Burwell High School. During his high school years he was a two time Nebraska State Wrestling Champion. Jeff then attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha for two years on a wrestling scholarship. He then transferred to Chadron State College on a scholarship for both wrestling and football. After college Jeff taught in Crawford, Nebraska for eight years and in Stanton, Nebraska for four years. He then served as principal in Cheyenne Well, Colorado for one year. At the time of his passing he had been teaching for three years in Bullhead City, Arizona. At all of these schools he coached wrestling, football and golf. Jeff and Markee Satchell were united in marriage on June 26, 2002 in Jamaica. Left to cherish his memory are his wife and two sons, aunts and uncles and a multitude of cousins and close friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Craven and his father, Kenneth Roggasch. Jeff's health problem was not diagnosed until June of 2004. This was a genetic disease. He was born with Hemochromatosis. If he would have been diagnosed more than five years ago, it could have been stabilized. Since we found out so late, it became toxic to his body. He was placed on the liver transplant list. We waited for a month, then his organs began to fail. Since the other organs didn't work, they had to take him off the transplant list.
