Bio

Effie Marie Kuypers was born May 19,1873 at Wahoo, Ne., and departed this life March 28,1947 at the age of 73 years, 10 months and 9 days. She was united in marriage to Arthur O. Goodwin, Jan. 15, 1894. Her husband preceded her in death. To this union eight children were born, one preceding her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, one sister, Lottie Stowitts, Grand Island; one brother, Jim Kuypers, Wichita, Kans.; four sons and three daughters, Mrs Myrtle Goodwin of Selah, Wash; Arthur Goodwin of Cody; Sylvester Goodwin of St. Marys, Idaho; Mrs. Mamie Murry of Scottsbluff; Ernest Goodwin of Cody; Miss Mattie Goodwin of Kellogg, Idaho; Paul Goodwin of Merriman, also fourteen living grandchildren and a large circle of friends. She was a member of the Methodist church. She came to Cherry County with her husband and family in a covered wagon and settled on a homestead in the year of 1909. Most of her life was spent south of Cody raising her family. Later she sold her home and moved to Cody. She departed this life March 28,1947, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Murry at Scottsbluff. Married 15 Jan 1894 in Grand Island, Hall, Nebraska Arthur O. Goodwin, 27, born in Vermont, residence Lincoln, Nebraska, father Wm. Goodwin, mother Eliz Fay to Effie M.
