Bio

Louis Alto Boyington, 81, of Rt. 1 Box 109, Robertsdale, Ala., died Tuesday at a hospital. Mr. Boyington, a native of Baldwin County, Ala., a lifelong resident of Escambia and Baldwin Counties, was a member of the Rosinton Road Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Newport Industries, where he had worked for 32 years. Survivors include his wife, Rubena Wilcox Boyington of Robertsdale; three daughters, Edith Winter of Pensacola, Agnes Fisher of Galvaston, Texas, and Doris Pitts of Pace, four stepsons, Glenn Wilcox, Paul Wilcox, Ray Wilcox, and Jerry Wilcox, all of Robertsdale; four stepdaughters, Faye Jones of San Antonio, Texas, Winnie Garner and Beulah Wigley, both of Robertsdale, and Beatrice Elwood of Albany, Ore., one brother, Doyle Boyington of Robertsdale, one sister, Sallie Eley of Winsborough, La., nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; 31 step-grandchildren; and 19 stepgreat-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Faith Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Langham officiating and the Rev. Carl Hudson assisting. Burial will be at Bayview Memorial Park Cemetery with Faith Chapel Funeral Home directing. Printed in the Pensacola News Journal
