SPROUT, CLARA M.—Clara M. Sprout was born to Jacob and Mary Gergen Sampont on February 6, 1898, at Sturgis, S.D., and passed away on October 3, 1988, at the Bethesda Care Center in Exeter at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 27 days. She was one of nine children in the family. Clara attended school in the Humphrey area before moving to Geneva. On August 10, 1917, she was married to Edward Lyle Sprout in Geneva and to this union were born four children. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyle, son Charles, grandson, David Kuns; and by six brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Larry (Frances) Beightol of Kirkland, Wa., Mrs. Willard (Lillian) Kuns of Oxnard, Cal., and Mrs. Herbert (Mary) Dondlinger of Geneva; one brother, Lawrence Sampont of Aurora, Col.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Thursday, October 6, from the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Walter Banach officiating. Rosary was recited Wednesday from the Farmer & Son Funeral Home.
