Lafayette F. Cason was born in Springfield, Henry County, Missouri to Doctor Daniel Cason and Julian A. "Euly" Burckardt. His father was working as a school teacher. His mother died April 6, 1856 in Fort Bend County, Missouri. Lafayette had 2 living brothers and 2 living sisters. Charles "Bing" Cason who had health problems, George Washington Cason, Mary Louise Cason Way, and Martha Jane Cason Cue. DD Cason moved to Warren County, Iowa where he met and married his second wife, Sarah Ann "Sallie" Caulk in Feb. 1863. Lafayette left Iowas after 1870 and went to Bastrop County, Texas. He met and married Miss Julia Hannah Turner Jan. 12, 1877. By the 1880 census the newlyweds were in San Juan, Colorado. The couple lived and died near Denver, CO. They raised 9 children. ---------- Lafayette is the son of Doctor Daniel Cason and Julia Ann Burckhartt Cason. He was born in Springfield Township, Henry County, Missouri. Tragically his mother died a few years after his birth, April 6, 1856 leaving him and brothers and sisters without a caregiver. The family moves to Benton County by 1860 census. Lafayette's siblings are: Charles Bingly, who is listed as idiotic for his lifetime; George Washington, Mary Louise, Martha Jane, and Laura Ann. Doctor Daniel Cason moves his family to Warren County, Iowa about 1861. He meets Sarah Caulk and marries her. Lafayette remains with his family through 1870 then he goes to Texas where he meets his wife and marries her on January 12, 1877. The first 4 children are born in New Mexico. The family moves to Durango, La Plata County, Colorado. For their later years they live in Denver. When they die they are buried in Denver.
