Bio

Rev.J C Smith of Irving,Texas, formerly of McKinney, Texas passed away at his residence Tuesday July 10th. Rev.Smith was born in McKinney on March 28,1919 to John and Nanie Rutherford Smith. Rev.Smith was a WWII Veteran and served in the United States Army. As a Pentacostal Minister throughout his life he married Alma Mary Ellen Smith in 1941 and she preceded him in death in 1995.Survivors include his children,John C.Smith and wife Becky of Irving, Chester Smith and wife Lynda of Irving, Pauline Butler of Grand Prarie,Madgie Dickens and husband Danny of Irving. Rev.Smith has 24 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three children Judy Black, Roger Smith and Tonya Namour. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the Bible Way Chapel in Irving, Texas with Billy Landers officiating.
