Florence Barnett, age 95, of McKinney, Texas passed away July 9, 2012. She was born October 22, 1916 in McKinney, Texas to Edwin Lewis and Sarah (Coleman) Lewis. On April 12, 1963 she married Vernon Barnett in McKinney, Texas. Florence was a member of Community North Baptist Church, where she was very active. She was also a member of the quilting group at North Baptist. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Robinson and husband, Don of McKinney, Texas; step-sons, Tony Barnett of Allen, Texas, Ruell Barnett and wife, Ruby of Chandler, Texas; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Sarah Lewis; husband, Vernon Barnett; brothers, Clint Lewis, Henry Lewis and Paul Lewis; sisters, Edna Brown and Clara Speegle; step-sons, L.V. and Charles Barnett.
