The Colby Tribune Thomas County Thursday July 22, 1915 Death of Mrs. V.B. Williams. Mrs. V.B. WILLIAMS, whose home was north of here in Washington township for many years, died at the home of her son, Lawrence Williams, at Yuma, Colo., last Tuesday, where she had been living for the last four years. The funeral was held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Burl ARMSTRONG, north of this city, conducted by Rev. Grout of the Free Methodist Church. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, north of Smith Center, where the body was laid beside that of her husband, buried there four years ago. The deceased was about 75 years of age, and her life came to a close after many years of usefulness that a good wife and mother can bring to influence those around her. She came here about 38 years ago from Andrew County, Missouri, and settled with her husband, on a farm in Washington township, where she resided until his death four years ago. She is survived by four sons and three daughters. The sons are E. Williams, Beaver Township this county; Rev. Charles W. Williams, a Methodist minister of Brewster, Kan.; Van Buren Williams, near Flathead Lake, Montana, and Lawrence Williams, Yuma, Colorado. The daughters are, Luella ARTHURS, Burdette, Colorado; Mrs. Dora NAURETH, Morrowville, Kansas, and Mrs. Burl ARMSTRONG, north of Smith Center.--Smith County Pioneer.
