SPRINGVILLE. Carol Anne Sumsion Windley, 72 of Springville, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was born July 12, 1932 in Springville, Utah to Arthur M. and Vivian Carroll Sumsion. She married C. Jack Windley on July 17, 1953 in Manti, Utah. Carol became a polio survivor at age 10. She was an avid reader and card player as well as an extensive world traveler with her husband. Carol was accomplished as a seamstress, in handiwork and as a cook. She is survived by her husband, C. Jack Windley; daughter, Teri (Jerry) Averett; grandchildren, Ayn, Lyn and Kristen Averett; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ethan and Ayndria. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Deon. Graveside services held Saturday, August 28, 2004 in the Springville City Cemetery at 450 South 200 West in Springville.
