Brezenski, 59, of 3823 18th St. will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Isidore's Catholic Church. Father Francis Price will officiate and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Brezenski died Sunday in a Lincoln hospital following a long illness. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday in McKown Funeral Home. Two rosaries will be said: one at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the Knights of Columbus and one at 7:30 p.m Tuesday for the parish. Both will be said in the funeral home. Brezenski was born Aug. 9, 1920, in Central City, the son of Walter and Monica Korus Brezenski. He was educated in Merrick County and Nance County schools and graduated from the National Institute of Meat Packing in Chicago in 1968. He married Evangeline Staroscik on Aug. 9, 1943, in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Duncan. Brezenski farmed in Platte and Nance counties until moving to Columbus in 1968. He was a retired machinist for Henke Machine Co. He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name Society. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bernard Brekenski [sic], Leonard Brezenski, Edward Brezenski Jr. and Richard Brezenski, all of Columbus; three daughters, Sheila Brezenski of Columbus, Mrs. Leo (Rose) Rinkol of Columbus and Mrs. Mark (Pat) Ciurej of Shreveport, La.; one brother, Virgil Brezenski of Platte Center; one sister, Mrs. Louis (Theresa) Gembica of Columbus; and 11 grandchildren. He was preeded in death by his parents, one niece and one nephew.
