Fount Ottis Barnes, age 68 was born June 28 1908 to Nathaniel A. and Jannie (Richardson) Barnes, and died July 7 1976. He was a retired farmer and member of Elizabeth Baptist Church He was preceeded in death by his parents, four brothers, David, Roscoe, Orbin, and Odis, and three sisters Tennie, Dosha, Emma. He was from a family of thirteen. also preceeding him was his first wife, Artie Green Barnes. to this union one son was born, Burrien Lawson Barnes of Mountain View. Survivors are his wife, Vera Cagle Jenkins Barnes of the home; four sons Burren, Ottis, Kermitt Barnes of Mountain View, and Rubin Barnes of Indio, California; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Thornsberry of Mtn. View and Mrs.Linda Moody Desha Ar.;two stepsons, Paul and Raymond Jenkins of California; two stepdaughters, Mrs Elsidean Green, and Mrs Burlean Blackwell of Mtn. View Ar. and two brothers, Newton and Earl Barnes of Mtn. View; three sisters, Mrs Ella Balentine of Malvern, Ar. Mrs Myrtle Green and Mrs Floye Green both of Mtn. View; twenty eight grandchildren and eighteen grate grandchildren.
