Frank Bartek (93462649) Services for Frank J. Bartek, 79, of Temple will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Robert Mattson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Cyclone. Mr. Bartek died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002 in a Temple hospital. He was born in East Bell County to Frank and Annie Sivek Bartek on April 15, 1923.. He had lived in Temple all of his life. He was a machinist for Hercules Corp. in McGregor until his retirement in 1981. He served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific during World War II. He married Mae Gilliam Reed on May 4, 1936, in Temple. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Kenny Reed, in 1963. Survivors are his wife, of Temple; a stepson, Ray Reed of Academy; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Reed Heugatter of Temple; four sisters, Evelyn Wells and Rosalie Horton, both of Temple, Frances Richardson of Belton and Anna Lois Kasberg of Bastrop; and four grandchildren.
