Ila N. Oborny, 79, La Crosse, died Friday, July 20, 2007, at her home. She was born October 31, 1927, in rural Rush County, Kansas, to Preston M. and Dolly (Schwab) Miller. She was a 1945 graduate of La Crosse High School. She married Charles S. Oborny on August 17, 1947, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, in La Crosse. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Michael C. Oborny, Albuquerque, N.M., Charles P. Oborny, Lyons, Jerry D. Oborny, La Crosse, Richard L. Oborny, Overland Park; a daughter, Patricia A. Ogle, Hoisington; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse; burial will be in La Crosse City Cemetery. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrel L. "Butch" Oborny, and an infant son. Memorials are suggested to A Second Chance, La Crosse in care of Janousek Funeral Home. Oborny, 82, La Crosse, died Sept. 27, 2007, at Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care, La Crosse. He was born Aug. 19, 1925, in rural Rush County to Charles J. and Marie (Mazouch) Oborny. He married Ila N. Miller on Aug. 7, 1947, in La Crosse. She preceded him in death on July 20, 2007. He worked at La Crosse Furniture Co. prior to retirement. He was a U.S Navy veteran, serving during World War II. Survivors include four sons, Michael C. Oborny, Albuquerque, N.M., Charles Oborny, Lyons, Jerry D. Oborny, La Crosse, and Richard L. Oborny, Park; a daughter, Patricia A. Ogle, Hoisington; two brothers, Leonard Oborny, Rush Center, and Larry Oborny, Hastings, Neb.; a sister, Betty Skillet, Hays; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Darrel "Butch" Oborny, and an infant son. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, La Crosse; burial in La Crosse City Cemetery.
