Frances "Jean" Teansky, age 72, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, at her home in Olathe, after a long battle with cancer. Jean married Gerald Teansky in Hot Springs, South Dakota on March 18, 1958. Jean and Jerry moved their family to the Olathe, Montrose area in the mid 1960's, where they raised their family. Jean worked as a school bus driver for many years. She loved and enjoyed the kids she drove to school each day. Jean also worked at Wal-Mart where she retired from. Jean's great joy in life was her family; she enjoyed especially all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing a big part in raising all of them. They were the light of her life. Survivors include her husband, Gerald "Jerry" Teansky, of the family home; her sons, Rodney Teansky, of Olathe, and Blake Teansky, of Hotchkiss, CO; her daughters, Victoria Geer, of Soldotna, Alaska, and Lark Keehfuss, of Montrose. Jean is also survived by her brothers, Charles Osborn Jr., of Pullman, Michigan, and Gail Osborn, of Tacoma, Washington; as well as her sister, Elenor Baker, of Rapid City, South Dakota. Jean is also survived by nine precious grandchildren and 12 treasured great-grandchildren. A Service in Loving Memory of Jean will be held Friday, June 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Montrose. To honor Jean, guests attending the service are asked to dress in western shirts and blue jeans or casual wear. Jean was a simple person and enjoyed the simple things in life.
