Minnie Estelle (Patrick) Hooks was the eldest daughter of Marcus Lafayette & Charity A. (Barnes) Patrick. She was born in Leake County, Miss. Minnie Estelle Patrick married David Alexander ("Alex") Hooks, son of David Caradine & Nancy J. (Young) Hooks, in the mid to late 1890s. Alex & Minnie had these children together: Charity Nancy (Hooks) Wilson, Ronald Grady Hooks, Daisy E. Hooks, William Elbert Hooks, Robert Melvin Hooks, David Herman Hooks, Marcus Alexander Hooks, Grace Marie (Hooks) Brewer, Myrtis Olga (Hooks) Hall, and a child (born/died Jan. 1917).
