Services for Dr. Homer Bernard Tisdale Jr., DVM, 61, will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in Union United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 7-9 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel. Dr. Tisdale died Thursday, May 30, 1996. Born in Auburn, Ala., he was the son of the late Homer Bernard Sr. and Roselle Wright Tisdale, He retired as a Circuit Supervisor with USDA-FSIS and Practiced veterinary medicine in Vernon, Ala. A graduate of Auburn University, he was a member of the South Carolina USDA State Emergency Board, the Food Agriculture Council of S. C., a lifetime member of the Auburn Alumni Association, the AVMA and the Columbia-Midlands Auburn Club. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, Anna Bess Soberg Tisdale of Columbia, sons, Homer Bernard Tisdale III of Greenville and Samuel Arnold Tisdale of Columbia, a daughter, Paula Ruth Tisdale of Columbia, sisters, Jule Tisdale Flowers of Birmingham, Ala. and Claire Tisdale Suttle of Boone, N. C., one grandson, and nieces and nephews. Published in The State Newspaper, Columbia, S. C., Saturday, June i, 1996, page 9 col. 1.
