Fred married Mary Ann Wardyn November 12, 1950, in Loup City, Nebraska. "Fred" Matulka, 85, of Omaha died Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with family present after 6 and a rosary service at 7, at Braman Mortuary Southwest Chapel in Omaha. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church, 6701 "S" St., Omaha. Inurnment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in West Lawn Memorial Park, 3826 W. Stolley Park Road in Grand Island. Mr. Matulka was born Nov. 20. 1928, to Joseph and Mary Matulka. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Matulka; his wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Matulka; eight brothers; and two grandchildren. Survivors of the immediate family include four daughters and sons-in-law, Lu and Kent Pavelka, Kathie and Tim Moffett, Pat and Dave Gilmore, and Susan Matulka and Dave Vaughn; four sons and daughters-in-law, Fred and Deb Matulka, Mark and Pam Matulka, George and Erin Matulka and Tim and Jennifer Matulka; 25 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
