Bio
Margie Marie Trantham, 82, passed away Friday, July 6, 2012. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, July 9, 2012, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory. Margie was born on January 5, 1930, in White Oak, Texas. She grew up in East Texas and later moved to the Sweetwater area where she worked at the local theater and for a local doctor before moving to Hillsboro. She married James Wilson Trantham on August 7, 1949. Margie and her husband James owned and operated the Texas Theater and Hill Drive-In Theater for many years. Margie worked at Tucker Lumber for 33 years and was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James, on November 20, 1990; grandson, Steven James Malone; four brothers; and four sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Hay and her husband, George, of Kerens; granddaughter, Kristin Jones and her husband, Shane; great-grandchildren: Baylee, Kylee, and Landry Jones; sister, Fay Sims, of Snyder; and several nieces and nephews.
