Bio
Edmond Dowdell,82 of Kerrville passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2012 at Edgewater Nursing Home in Kerrville. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great, great-grandfather and friend. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 6, 2012 in the chapel of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Interment will follow in Palms Memorial Park. A gathering of Edmond's family and friends was held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at the funeral home. Edmond was born in Liberty County and worked in the Oil Field for many years. He was preceded in death by wife the love of his life for 44 years, Ruth Dowdell; son, Earl DeJohn; and his parents, Ambrose and Sara Eva Dowdell. Edmond is survived by daughters, Judy Charles and husband, Albert; Debbie Coffman and husband, Larry; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
