Bio

Mrs. Stella T. Pavlu died Sept. 24 at Sharpstown General Hospital in Houston after a short illness. She is survived by her husband Alfred P. Pavlu Sr., two daughters, Shirley Pavlu and Terry Lynn Portwood both of Houston; one son Alfred J. Pavlu of Columbus; three sisters, Annie Lentz of Lavurne, Tx; Alice Denny and Janie Klare both of Houston; two bothers, Bennie Klesel and Robert Klesel and three grandchildren. Mrs. Pavlu was born in Schulenburg on May 6, 1928 to Frank Klesel and Theresa Anders Klesel and she married Alfred Pavlu on Jan 19, 1948. She was a housewife. Burial services were held Sept. 26 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Columbus; and she was buried at St. Anthony's Cemetery under the direction of Henneke Funeral Home with Father Tim Kosler officiating. Pallbearers were Leroy Pavlu, Lance Portwood, John Prieto, Jerry Prieto, David Raucher and Tom Regan. Colorado County Citizen, October 4, 1989, page 2
