Bio
Lillian Vasut Kahlden, 95, of Columbus, passed away Feb. 27 at River Oaks Health Care Center in Columbus. She was born in La Grange, Aug. 7, 1914 to Frank F. and Carolina (Foyt) Vasut and married Arthur Raymond Kahlden, Sept. 18, 1934. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Willie Mae Skalitsky, Sylvia L. Richter, Carrie Zapp and Ellen Vasut; brothers, Dennis Wasut, Eddie M. Vasut, Walter Vasut, Leslie Vasut, Harry Vasut, Fred Vasut; and an infant brother. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Warren Dahn of New Braunfels; sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey R. and Elizabeth Kahlden of Seguin and Lawrence A. and Vita Kahlden Sr. of Shreveport, La.; brother, Clarence Wasut and wife Beatrice of Park; sister-in-law, Dorothy Vasut of Columbus; grandchildren, Kathrine Kahlden, Law-rence Kahlden Jr. and wife Gloria, Barry Kahlden and wife Tammy, Shelly Harbin and husband Coy, Wade Dahn and wife Katie; and great-grandchildren, Drake Dahn, Gillian Dahn, Zachary Harbin, Rhett Kahlden and Berend Kahlden. Funeral services took place March 1 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Deacon Bennie Holesovsky officiating. Interment followed at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Columbus. Pallbearers were Johnny Richter, Brent Haynes, Kervy Kahlden, Herman Eichhorn, Donald Richter and Leslie Kahlden Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Kahlden Jr., Barry Kahlden, Wade Dahn, Coy Harbin and Norris Janak.
