Bio

This is my paternal great grandmother. Mary was the 4th child out of 10 children born to Edward Griswold Tenney & his wife Catherine Cavitt Young Tenney. Mary was born in Turnersville, Coryell Co., Texas. She attended Daniel Baker College in Brownwood, Texas. On September 2, 1911 in Clifton, Bosque Co., Texas, she married William Bradley Lewis. Together William & Mary had 4 children: Charles Raymond Lewis; Eugene Henry Lewis, James Frederick Lewis & Mary Frances Lewis Smith. William & Mary divorced on December 14, 1923. On December 5, 1929, Mary married William Walter McClendon. They stayed married until William's death in 1932.
