Bio

Nellie Geyer, 80, died at 5 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012,at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City, Illinois. Mrs. Geyer was born September 12, 1931, in Pratt, , Kansas, a daughter of Owen Alfred and Ida Haney Hurt. She married Leland W. Geyer on May 3, 1952, in Hutchinson, Kansas. He died July 11, 2010. Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Benz, four grandchildren; a brother, Warren (Peggy) Hurt and two sisters, Geneva Haile and Mary Jane Brunk. She was preceded in death by a son, Patrick. Mrs. Geyer was a member of the Congregational Christian Church in Roberts and enjoyed collecting antiques and cooking. Paxton Record, Paxton, IL-07-02-12
