Bio

Morris was born Aug. 29, 1920 in Dearborn Township near Wolverton, MN, to Solomon and Ida (Fitzgerald) Swenson. He attended school and grew to adulthood in the Wolverton area. He married Florence Andel Oct. 12, 1948 at Breckenridge, MN. The couple moved to Moorhead where he was employed by Cass-Clay Creamery. In 1949 they moved to the family farm in Dearborn Township. They have farmed there since. He was a member of St. Johns Church, Barnesville, and he served on the Dearborn Township Board and on the ASC Wilkin County Board. Morris passed away Jun. 2, 1982 at a Fargo hospital. At the time of death Morris was survived by his wife, three sons, one daughter, a brother, and three sister. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, five brothers and three sisters.
