Funeral services for Joseph Wandro, Sr. age 69, will be held at 9 A. M. Saturday at St. Lawrence Church in Silver Creek with Father S. J. Zukowski, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body will be taken to the family home at 4 P. M. Friday from the Fleming Funeral Home where it will lie in state until the hour of the service. Rosary at 8 P. M. Friday. Mr. Wandro died at 2 A.M. Thursday in a Hastings hospital. Born in Colfax county, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wandro. He was united in marriage to Miss Sophia Iwan at St. Stanislaus church in Duncan on November 28, 1900. Following their marriage they lived on the island south of Duncan for about ten years and then moved to the Krakow community where they lived for quite a number of years. He has been in failing health for the past ten years. Surviving are his wife and twelve children, five sons, Edward, Albert, Bernard and Joseph, Jr., all of Silver Creek, and Louis of San Matea, California; seven daughters, Mrs. Joseph Moritz, Columbus; Mrs. Edward Peterson, Norfolk, Mrs. Dave Harris, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Mrs. James Harris, Sidney, Nebr.; Mrs. Stanley Socha, Omaha; Mrs. Sidney Fehn, Long Island, N. Y.; and Miss Mary Wandro, Beatrice; 26 grandchildren, 3 great grand children and 2 sisters, Mrs. Mike Eurek, Loup City, Nebraska and Mrs. Pauline Augustine of Shelby.
