Bio

George W. Hallmark was born about 1853 in Alabama to Stephen Wilburn Hallmark and Ann Rittie Collins. He came to Texas with his parent before 1860. In 1860 his family was in Harrison County, Texas. On June 20, 1874, George married Georgia Slaughter. Together, they had two sons, Charles Washington and James L. George died sometime between when the 1880 census was taken in Hunt County, Texas and 1888 when Georgia remarried. He probably died in Hunt County, but his burial place in unknown at this time.
