Joan E. Schaefer, 47, of Seward, died Monday, June 29. She was born Dec. 31, 1933, near Staplehurst to Emil and Anna Wondra Rezac. Survivors include her husband John, two sons, Steven and Michael, both of Seward; two daughters, Rebecca (Mrs. Walter) Campbell and Debra (Mrs. James) Aegerter, both of Seward, her mother, Anna Rezac, Seward; three sisters, Irma Varner of Canoga Park, Calif., Tillie Schoppe of Somerville, Texas, and Gladys Stava of Lincoln; four grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, July 2, at Wood Brothers Chapel, Seward, the Rev. James Armour officiating. Pallbearers were Les and George Schaefer, James Wondra, Lawrence Matthes, Frank Pollak and Don Rolfsmeier. Seward County Independent, Seward, NE, Wed, July 8, 1981
