Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Fort Worth, Texas, Wednesday, May 16, 2001, Page 11B Daphna Grace Standlee ARLINGTON - Daphna Grace Standlee, 77, a retired business owner, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2001. Funeral: 3 p.m. Thursday at Southland Funeral Home. Interment: Southland Memorial Park, with Grady King, officiating. Daphna Grace Standlee was born to Clyde and Iva Burns near Celeste on July 16, 1923. She married Albert "Sandy" Standlee, also from Celeste, in 1943, just prior to the service with the Army's Second Infantry Division in Europe. Upon Albert's return, they settled in Arlington in 1953. Daphna's avid interest in healthful living led her to own and operate two health food stores in the Arlington area until her retirement. She was a member of New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Denzil Beavers; brothers, Duane Burns and Donald Burns; and her beloved husband of 54 years, Albert. Survivors: Sons, Larry Standlee of Arlington, Kenny Standlee of Keller; sisters, Yvonne Sims of Grand Prairie, Norma Hall Little of Arlington, Peggy Rodrigues of Austin; grandchildren, Ian Standlee and Katie Standlee of Arlington; and many nieces and nephews.
