Bio
Services for Dwight J. McGill, 77, of Center, were held on Wednesday, May 4, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. at United Methodist Church in Creighton. Reverend Koni Purdy Purscell and Reverend Kenneth Purscell officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Visitation was held Tuesday at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Pallbearers included John McGill, Bernard McGill, Bradley Strunk, Keith McGill, Robert McGill and Steven Lindhorst. Organist was Margaret Sorensen and vocalist U.M.C. Choir Members. songs included "For The Beauty Of The Earth", In Times Like These" and "Draw Me Nearer". The son of William and Nettie (Jewell) McGill was born November 19, 1916 at Winnetoon. He died April 30, 1994 at Alpine Village Nursing Home at Verdigre at the age of seventy seven years, five months and eleven days. He was a member of the Center school board of which he served as president. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Center and Creighton and was also a 4-H leader. Survivors include sons and spouses, John and Nancy McGill of Bakersfield, CA, Robert and Jan McGill of O'Neill and Keith McGill of Seward; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Irene Gray of Orting, WA and Marian Strunk of Crofton.
