Son of Solomon Glory Brown and Mary Elizabeth Rhodes. Married to Elvira Seaton Frederick on 12 May 1859 in Breckenridge County, KS. ************************************************* Emporia News, Saturday, February 8, 1862; page 3, column 2 DIED: At the residence of his father, in Emporia, on Monday, at 3 A.M., Mr. JOSEPH BROWN, eldest son of Solomon G. Brown, aged 22 years. ************************************************* The Weekly News-Democrat, 08 Feb 1862, Saturday PUBLIC SALE I WILL offer for sale, on Saturday, Feb. 15th, at 10 A.M., the following personal property belonging to the estate of the late Joseph Brown, deceased: HORSES, CATTLE, HOGS, and other articles too numerous to mention.
