Bio

Henry A. Baxa Sr. son of Vincent M. Baxa and Ella A. Blazek, was born July 14, 1912, at Wayne, and died August 21, 2003, at Cloud County Health Center, Concordia, at the age of 91. He married Blanche Oborny on April 30, 1940 at Holy Trinity Church in Timken. Baxa was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sisters Eliska Baxa, Magdalena Pachta, Frances Winbinger, Elizabeth Oborny; brothers Vincent, Fred, Alfonso, and Alois Baxa. He is survived by his son, Fr. Henry Baxa of Beloit; daughters Mary Ann Goodwin of Wichita, Lorene Baxa of Concordia, Dorothy Oborny of Bellwood, NE; 3 grandchildren; sister Rosarie Jecha of Timken; brothers Edmund Baxa of Springfield, and Edward Baxa of Hales Corner, Wl. Burial was at St. Isidore Cemetery, Cuba, KS.
