St. Marys- Lorene A. Seitz, 86, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 at the St. Marys Manor. She was born December 9, 1925 in Wabaunsee County Kansas the daughter of Emil and Martha Herren Martens. She attended Alma Schools and graduated from Emmett High School. Mrs. Seitz was a child care provider in her home for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. On June 1, 1943 she was united in marriage to Richard P. Seitz at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1986. She is survived by her family, Mary (Ed) Stoddard, St. Marys, Rick (Cindy) Seitz, Topeka, Ron (Rhonda) Seitz, St. Marys, Eileen Pearl, St. Marys and Marvin Seitz, Wichita; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Mrs. Seitz will lie in state after 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 22, 2012 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys where there will be a Prayer Vigil at 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Marys Manor Activity Bus Fund and sent in care of the funeral home. Published in Topeka Capital-Journal on June 19, 2012
