JIMMIE BILL STRIPLING, 70, of Pearland, Texas passed away June 15, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 20, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Lemmons and Corrine (McKay) Stripling. Jimmie was always proud to be a native Houstonian. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving in Vietnam on the Ticonderoga where he was a jet flight mechanic. Jimmie also served on the USS Enterprise and USS Hornet from 1961 to 1965. He continued his service as a Navy Reservist form 1965 to 1967. Jimmie received the Navy Unit Commendation Medal and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for which he was very proud. Most of all he was very proud to serve his country. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jimmie is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Louella "Lou" Stripling; children, Robert Stripling and wife Lynnae, Jimmy Stripling, Carrie Wills and husband Steve; Pernell Breaux and wife Leighann, Roberta Agar, Robert Breaux and wife LaQuita, twin sons: Blaine Breaux and wife Brandy and Shayne Breaux and wife Wilma; 22 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and close friends. Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546. (281) 992-7200. The Funeral Service will begin Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at 6:00 P.M. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel following the visitation with Rev. Ken Gurley officiating. A private burial will be conducted later in the week at the Houston National Cemetery.
