Elizabeths last name is shown as Hogan but she thinks the original may show Morgan, not Hogan. Ronald Case & David Jeffres believe her last name may have been Quall. Ronald got the Quall name came from Greeley Co. Citizen Newspaper June 24, 1908 Obituary for Elias W. Jeffres. "His wife was Marie E. Quall". Ron also adds that she was called Betty and his sister was named Betty for her. Information provided by Dorothy Jeffres Cashatt states that she has an newspaper obituary that shows her name as Marie E Quall. She states that what she found on marriage records was: reference - Marriage records, Decatur, Fremont, Mill Co., Iowa. DAR book D26 Vol. 42 Fremont Co., Iowa Jeffries, Elias W. md. M. E. Hogan 1-30-1870 and Hogan, M. E. m. Elias W. Jefferies 01-30-1870 on marriage. Elizabeth married Elias at about age 24 and she may have had a prior marriage to a Mr. Hogan. The Nebraska State Journal, Sunday, March 23, 1902 pg 4 DIED IN NEBRASKA Mrs. E. W. Jeffres. GREELEY, Neb., March 25. - (Special.) - Mrs. Jeffres, wife of ex-Senator E. W. Jeffres, died at the family residence, near Horace, yesterday morning. she had an attack of the Grip last winter from which she had never recovered, but was not supposed to be so seriously affiicited(sic) till just as end came. She was highly esteemed in the neighbourhood in which she lived.
