Mrs. Katy Mae Crigger, 77, of Ijamsville, died Tuesday, Sept. 12, at her daughter's home. Born in Speedwell, Va., on June 12, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Doll and Leila Copeland Hensley, Mrs. Crigger was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughter, Shirley A. Rinehart and husband Eugene of Ijamsville; three sons, Ronald D. Crigger and wife Sarah of Frederick, Donald R. Crigger and wife Sarah of Frederick, Donald R. Crigger of Hancock, and David M. Crigger and wife Carol of Keedysville; one brother, Argil Hensley of Speedwell; four sisters, Virginia Phillippi and Cleo Kincher, both of Speedwell, and Kathleen Kuehl and Pauline Shelton, both of Wytheville, Va.; eight grandchildren, Robert R. Loun Jr. and wife Linda, Rick D. Loun, Dawn Main and husband Tim, Cherly Frazier and husband Thomas, Ronald C. Crigger, Theresa Bracken and husband Roger, Michael D. Crigger and Melissa Crigger; four great-grandchildren, Kristen Schroedel, Jeremiah Main, Ashleigh Main and Amanda Kinna; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14 at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 15, in Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. J. Kenneth Stalls, pastor of the South End Baptist Church will officiate.
