Bio

Margaret Pauline Smith was the youngest daughter and seventh child of Robert Daniel and Lula Gray Smith of Goliad. She married 1) Elbridge Gerry Sevier (marriage ended in divorce) and 2) Cecil "Happy" Easter. Her obituary from the "Rockport Pilot" newspaper follows: Mrs. Margaret Pauline Easter, age 60, died March 24, 1989 at her residence in Rockport. Mrs. Easter was born April 4, 1928 in Goliad. She had resided in Rockport for the past 30 years. Survivors inclue her husband, Cecil Easter of Rockport; one son, Elbridge Gerry Sevier, Jr. of Refugio; four daughters, Jeannette Mijou and Claudia Thiery both of Chicago, Ill. Marie Castleberry of Baytown and Annette Hazelett of Kerrville; one sister, Ruth Newman of Baycliff, Tx.; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
