BORN OH, a son of William Hyde--Mary Hodge; he wed Florence on 11 Mar 1905 [PER Ashtabula Cnty OH] OH--Ashtabula Star Beacon...08 Jan 1959 EARL D HYDE: Conneaut; 75, died Wednesday afternoon at Brown Memorial Hosp-Conneaut. A lifetime resident of Ashtabula, MrHyde had moved to Conneaut 3 years ago. He was born 18 Feb 1883 in ColebrookTwp, a son of William & Mary Hodge Hyde. MrHyde was a member of First Christian Church, Rising Sun Lodge 22 F&AM Ashtabula & Rose Chapter 22-Order of Eastern Star-Conneaut. He was employed as a clerk in the Ashtabula Post Office for 32 years prior to retirement in 1947. Survivors include his wife-Elma; dau: Winifred (sp-Harold) Rollman-Jefferson; bro: CharlesM Hyde-Ashtabula; sis: Elsie(sp-Walter) Crosby-RomeTwp & a grandson-CharlesE Rollman with the AirForce in California. He is also survived by several nieces--nephews; 3 step-children: Clarence Hart-Conneaut; Gertrude (sp-John) McManus-Conneaut & Kathayrn (sp-Eugene) Rosenberg-Franklin PA. MrHyde was preceded in death by a dau-Alice Hyde Beebe in 1939 & his first wife Florence-21 Aug 1953. Service will be held Saturday afternoon [1-10] at the Richmond-Ross Funeral Home. The Rev Harold Smith-pastor of First Christian Church will conduct the service. Rising Sun Lodge will conduct Masonic services at the funeral home Friday evening. Burial will be in Edgewood Cem.
