Eddie Edler was born January 12, 1941 in Scotland, Texas to Theresia (Vieth) and Bernard Joe Edler. He passed away September 24, 2009 at Checotah, Oklahoma at the age of 68 years, 8 months and 12 days. Eddie attended school at St. Francis and graduated from Canute High School. He lived in Oklahoma City before moving back to farm with his father. He continued living and farming in the Canute community and was married to Gwendolyn Fay (Pollard) at Wheeler, Texas on May 18, 1977. They continued to live in Canute to make their home. Eddie loved being outdoors, spending time with his family and fishing. He was known for his practical jokes. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, 1 daughter and 1 son.
