Virginia Talley, 84, passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, in San Angelo, Texas. She was the oldest of six children born to Herbert and Madge Sanders on November 18, 1927, in Smithville, Okla. Jinny grew up and attended school in Ballinger, Texas. She married Jack Long Jr. in February 1946. She graduated from Jolley Beauty College and worked at Sherwood Beauty Shop. She also worked at Ethicon, Connie's Fashions and as a private sitter. She grew up in the Church of God (Anderson, Ind.) but attended First Baptist Church. Jinny married Roy E Talley Jr. in March 1997. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Jack Long Jr.; her second husband, Roy Talley Jr.; one brother, Clifford (Buck) Sanders; and one sister, Evalyn Pentacost. She leaves behind two sons, Ron and Teresa Long of Mt. Sterling, Ky. and Terry and Nancy Long of San Angelo; and five grandchildren Kim (Teddy) Hiler of Mt. Sterling, Ky., Christy (Norman) Lansdale of Mt. Sterling, Ky., Angie (Henry) Yu of Castle Rock, Colo., BJ (Jenn) Long of Greensboro, N.C. and Nichole (Jeremy) Bartz of San Angelo. Grandma Talley will be missed by her nine great-grandchildren, Jacob and Trevor Hiler, Pruitt and Sarah Kate Lansdale, Emerson and Anderson Yu, Amos Long and Kaylee and Landree Bartz. Jinny also leaves behind two brothers, Marvin (Hookie) Sanders and Paul Sanders; one sister, Doris Collins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will always remember her contagious smile and fun personality. Family visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012. at Johnson's Funeral Home chapel with burial to follow in Fairmount Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Harold Watkins and Dr. Don Ardrey. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Bartz, Teddy Hiler, Trevor Hiler, Norman Lansdale, Mike Lee, BJ Long, Robert Moehnke and Henry Yu.
